Amazon Shopping

What is Amazon Shopping?

Amazon Shopping is the official Android app from Amazon Mobile LLC for shopping on Amazon. It puts product search, order tracking, and checkout into one mobile app instead of a browser tab.

The app is listed on Google Play under the Shopping category. Its current version is 32.19.0.100, and the listing was last updated on 2026-10-13.

How does Amazon Shopping work?

Users search for products by name, photo, or category, then compare listings, prices, and reviews. Signing in with an Amazon account keeps saved items, past orders, and the shopping cart in sync across devices.

Orders can be tracked from the app's account area, and purchases are made through Amazon's standard checkout. Because the app is tied to an account, it works best for people who already shop with Amazon.

What's new in version 32.19.0.100?

This release adds home screen shortcuts. Pressing and holding the Amazon Shopping icon opens quick links to your orders, daily deals, shopping cart, and search.

The rest of the update is a set of bug fixes and performance improvements meant to make browsing and checkout run more smoothly.

Android requirements and download size

Amazon Shopping requires Android 12 or later. Devices running older versions of Android will not be able to install the current release from Google Play.

The app has been installed more than 1,115,865,853 times, and it holds a 4.4 out of 5 rating from 4,738,079 ratings on Google Play. The listing does not give a single download size in the facts available here, so check the Google Play page for the current figure before downloading on a limited storage device.

Is Amazon Shopping free, and does it have ads?

The app is free to download. It does contain ads, and it also offers in-app purchases, so users should expect promoted products and optional paid items while using it.

Downloads come only from Google Play. Users who want to keep spending in check may find it useful to review notification and account settings after installing.

Pros and cons

On the plus side, the app is free, widely installed, and well rated by a large number of users. Shortcuts, order tracking, and saved carts make repeat shopping faster.

On the downside, ads and in-app purchases are part of the experience, and the app requires a relatively recent version of Android. Some shoppers may also prefer a browser or a single-purpose comparison tool.

Who is Amazon Shopping best for?

The app suits people who already buy from Amazon and want faster access to orders, deals, and their cart on Android. It is less suited to shoppers who want to compare many retailers in one place or who avoid ads and app-based promotions.
