Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies

What is Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies?

Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies is a streaming app for Android published by Peacock TV LLC and listed under Entertainment on Google Play. It is built for watching television shows and movies on a phone or tablet, with the catalog delivered over the internet rather than stored on the device.

The app is free to download. Its listing shows more than 64,497,916 installs and a Google Play rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 644,792 ratings, which makes it one of the more widely used streaming apps on the platform.

How does the app work?

After installing the app from Google Play, you sign in or create an account to access the library. Browsing is organized around titles you can open, search for, and start playing right away.

Because playback streams over your connection, watching requires a working internet link. Video quality generally depends on your network speed and the device you are using.

Is Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies free, and does it have ads?

The app itself costs nothing to download. The Google Play listing says it contains ads, so expect advertising while you watch or browse.

The listing also notes in-app purchases. Some content or subscription options may require payment inside the app, so check the prices shown before you commit.

What is new in the latest version?

The most recent update, dated 2026-10-22, focuses on fixes. The developer reports that several bugs have been resolved, which should mean fewer interruptions during normal use.

The release notes do not list new features, so this version is best understood as a maintenance update.

Pros and cons

On the plus side, the app is free to start, has a large install base, and carries a strong community rating. Its catalog is accessed from a single app across many titles.

On the downside, ads appear in the free experience, some features depend on in-app purchases, and streaming requires a steady internet connection. Exact device requirements and download size are not stated in the facts available here, so check the Google Play page before installing on an older or low-storage device.

Who is Peacock TV: Stream TV & Movies best for?

The app suits people who want a free, mobile-friendly way to stream TV and movies and who are comfortable with occasional ads. Viewers who prefer fully ad-free viewing or offline downloads should confirm those options on the store page before relying on them.
