Disney+

What is Disney+ on Android?

Disney+ is an Entertainment app published by Disney and distributed through Google Play. It is listed as free to download, and the store page shows more than 602 million installs.

This page is an editorial overview based on the store listing facts available to us. It is not a hands-on review, and it does not describe features beyond those confirmed by the listing.

Is Disney+ free, and does it have ads or in-app purchases?

The app is free to download. The listing states it contains no ads and offers no in-app purchases, so there are no extra charges shown inside the app itself.

Keep in mind that 'free to download' does not always mean free to use. Any subscription or account requirements for a streaming service are set outside the app listing facts we have, so check the app page on Google Play before you install.

What's new in version 26.19.0+rc3-2026.10.20?

The current version is 26.19.0+rc3-2026.10.20, last updated on 2026-10-20. The developer describes this release as a collection of bug fixes and general improvements.

No specific new features are named in the release notes, so the update is best understood as a maintenance release aimed at stability and polish.

Android requirements and download size

Disney+ requires Android 6.0 or later. Older phones running earlier versions of Android may not be able to install it.

We do not have a verified download size figure for this version, so check the storage requirement shown on the Google Play page before installing, especially on devices with limited free space.

Ratings and user feedback

The app holds a 4.3 out of 5 rating from 5,165,465 ratings on Google Play. A rating this large suggests broad use, though individual reviews will vary in what they cover, so reading recent reviews can help you judge whether the app meets your needs.

Pros and cons

Pros: free to download, no ads and no in-app purchases listed, a wide install base, and a recent update.

Cons: the listing does not confirm offline options, device-specific performance, or account costs, and the requirement of Android 6.0 or later rules out very old devices. Streaming apps also depend on your network connection.

Who is Disney+ best suited for?

Disney+ suits Android users who want a free Entertainment app from a major publisher and who have a device running Android 6.0 or later. Users who want a fully offline experience or detailed feature information should check the Google Play listing and recent reviews first.
