Happy Color®: Color by Number

What is Happy Color®: Color by Number?

Happy Color®: Color by Number is a coloring game for Android, listed on Google Play under the board game category. It is developed by X-FLOW and has been installed more than 348 million times.

The idea is simple: each picture is divided into numbered regions, and each number corresponds to a specific color. You fill the regions to reveal the finished image, which makes it a relaxed pastime rather than a fast-paced challenge.

How does color-by-number gameplay work?

Pick a picture, look at the number in each small section, and apply the matching color. Working through a picture one number at a time keeps the activity calm and methodical.

Because the layout is visual and the rules are easy to grasp, the game suits short sessions as well as longer, unhurried coloring.

What's new in version 2.24.0?

The update renames the former My Feed section to My Studio. It works as a personal area where you can sort your finished and in-progress pictures into albums and keep track of how your coloring is progressing.

Version 2.24.0 also adds several new picture collections: a Marvel-themed set of heroes and stories, a Godzilla set with large monster artwork, and Miles & Memories, a group of detailed collage pictures by Lewis T. Johnson.

Device requirements and download size

Happy Color®: Color by Number requires Android 7.0 or later. Check your device version in settings before installing, especially on older phones or tablets.

The current version is 2.24.0, last updated on 2026-10-23. Google Play shows the exact download size for your device, so check the listing for that figure.

Is it free, and what about ads and purchases?

The game is free to download. It contains ads and also offers in-app purchases, so players who want to avoid ads or buy extra content should review the purchase options before spending money.

The Google Play rating is 4.6 out of 5 from about 3.9 million ratings.

Pros and cons

On the plus side, the game is free, has a large and well-rated player base, adds new collections regularly, and offers a low-pressure way to relax.

On the downside, ads appear in the free version and in-app purchases are available, which can interrupt play or tempt spending. Older Android versions below 7.0 cannot run it.

Who is it best for?

The game suits people who enjoy quiet, hands-on activities, including casual players, fans of coloring books, and anyone looking for a calm break. Players who dislike ads or want a fully paid experience may prefer a different option.
