Indeed Job Search

What is Indeed Job Search?

Indeed Job Search is a business-category Android app from the developer Indeed Jobs. It lets people look through job listings and keep track of openings from a phone instead of a desktop browser.

The app has been installed more than 276 million times on Google Play and holds a 4.7 out of 5 rating from about 14.2 million ratings. Those figures suggest it is one of the most widely used job search tools in its category.

How does the job search work?

Most people start by entering a job title, skill, or company and a location. The app then shows matching listings that users can open, read, and save for later.

Because the app is built for mobile use, the listing pages are arranged to be read on a small screen, and searches can be adjusted quickly while on the move.

What's new in version 300.0.0?

Version 300.0.0 is a maintenance update focused on fixing bugs. The developer has not listed new features for this release, so the update is mainly about stability and smoother everyday use.

The app was last updated on 2026-10-22.

Is Indeed Job Search free, and does it have ads?

The app is free to download from Google Play and has no in-app purchases. It does contain ads, so expect sponsored content and advertising while you browse.

Free access with ads suits users who want to search without paying, but it may be less comfortable for people who dislike interruptions.

Android requirements and download size

Indeed Job Search requires Android 8.0 or later. Devices running older versions of Android are not supported.

The download size is not included in the facts available for this overview, so check the app's Google Play listing for the current figure before installing, especially on devices with limited storage.

Pros and cons

Pros: it is free, has a large user base, and is widely rated well by users. Its focus on listings and searches keeps the core experience simple.

Cons: ads appear throughout the experience, and the app needs Android 8.0 or later. Its listings come from a large job pool, so users should still review each posting carefully before applying.

Who is Indeed Job Search best for?

The app suits people actively looking for work who want to search on a phone, and those who do not mind ads in exchange for a free tool. Job seekers who prefer a desktop experience or need an ad-free workspace may prefer other options.
