DAZN - Watch Live Sports

What is DAZN - Watch Live Sports?

DAZN - Watch Live Sports is a sports streaming app published by DAZN for Android phones and tablets. It is listed in the Sports category on Google Play and is designed to bring live and on-demand sports coverage into one place.

The app has been installed more than 94 million times, which makes it one of the more widely downloaded sports apps on the platform.

How does the app work?

After installing the app from Google Play, you create an account and sign in. Live events and other sports content are then available through the app's schedule and browsing screens.

Access to particular events can depend on your subscription or on purchases made in the app, so check what your plan covers before you rely on it for a specific match.

What's new in the latest version?

The latest update, dated 26 October 2026, is presented by the developer as a substantial refresh. It brings new content, feature changes, and bug fixes, along with a redesigned experience.

Because release notes are short, the exact list of changes is best checked on the app's Google Play page before updating.

What are the Android requirements and download size?

DAZN - Watch Live Sports requires Android 7.0 or later. Devices running older versions of Android cannot install the current release.

Download and storage size varies by device and version, so check the size shown on the Google Play listing before installing, especially if your phone has limited free storage.

Is DAZN - Watch Live Sports free?

The app itself is free to download from Google Play. It is not a one-time purchase, but it does not cost anything to install.

Be aware that the app contains ads and offers in-app purchases. Ads can interrupt browsing and viewing, and some content or features may require paying within the app.

Pros and cons at a glance

On the plus side, the app is free to install, has a large user base, a solid 4.4 average rating on Google Play, and covers a wide range of sports in one app.

On the downside, ads and in-app purchases are part of the experience, and streaming live sports uses data and battery. Older Android devices below version 7.0 are not supported.

Who is DAZN - Watch Live Sports best for?

The app suits sports fans who follow several leagues or sports and want to keep up with live action on an Android phone or tablet. It is a good fit for people who are comfortable with ads and who have a stable internet connection.

Casual viewers who only follow one event occasionally may want to compare the cost of a subscription against other ways of watching that event.
