CDisplayEx Comic Reader

What is CDisplayEx Comic Reader?

CDisplayEx Comic Reader is a comics app for Android, published by Progdigy Software and listed under the Comics category on Google Play. It is aimed at people who want to read comics on their phone or tablet.

The app has been installed more than 122,428 times and holds a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 9,265 ratings on Google Play, which suggests a well-regarded and established title in its category.

Is CDisplayEx Comic Reader free, or does it cost money?

The app is a paid download at $5.99 on Google Play. Because it is paid up front, there is no advertising in the app and no in-app purchases to unlock content or features.

For many readers, a one-time price with no ads and no extra purchases makes costs easy to predict. Anyone who prefers free apps with ads or optional purchases should weigh that against this model.

What changed in the latest update?

The most recent update, dated 2026-08-25, moves the app to Android 16, the newer version of the operating system, so it is built against the current platform. It also fixes a bug affecting connections to Mega, a cloud storage service.

If you rely on Mega-based workflows, this update is the one to install. Keeping the app current also helps it work well with newer versions of Android.

What should you know before you download?

Check the app's listing on Google Play for the current minimum Android version, file size, and device compatibility before buying, since these details can change between releases.

Because the app is paid and has no ads, it is a good fit for readers who want a clean reading experience. Readers who expect free access or in-app extras may find the single price less flexible.

Pros and cons at a glance

Pros: no ads, no in-app purchases, a single known price of $5.99, a high 4.8 rating from a large group of ratings, and an update that targets Android 16.

Cons: the upfront cost may be a barrier for people who prefer free apps, and the listing's requirements should be checked against your device before purchase.

Who is CDisplayEx Comic Reader best for?

The app suits comics readers who are happy to pay once and want to avoid ads and extra charges. It is also a reasonable choice for people who use Mega and want a fix for connection issues.

Readers who want free comics or a large built-in catalog should look at other options first, since this overview does not describe any catalog or content library.
