How does Zedge™ Wallpapers & Ringtones work?

Users browse a catalog of content, search for items by theme or keyword, and apply what they like to their phone. The app organizes material into categories so people can move from browsing to setting a choice without much effort.

Downloads and updates are handled through Google Play, so the app is installed and updated like any other Play Store app.

What's new in version 9.40.1?

Version 9.40.1 focuses mostly on stability and smoothness. The update includes performance work across the app, along with changes to how ads are delivered and how search results appear.

Audio playback and landing pages received improvements, and the AI-assisted creation features were refined, including better support for wallpapers. Several fixes address duplicated items, image aspect ratios, some account-related problems, and assorted minor bugs.

Is Zedge™ Wallpapers & Ringtones free, and does it have ads?

The app is free to download from Google Play. It is not a paid app, but it does contain ads and offers in-app purchases for optional extras.

Pros and cons

On the plus side, the app is free, has a very large user base, a high rating, and a wide range of personalization content. Frequent updates show ongoing maintenance.

On the downside, the app includes ads and in-app purchases, which some users may find distracting. As with many free apps, the experience depends on how comfortable you are with promotional content.

Who is Zedge™ Wallpapers & Ringtones best for?

The app suits Android users who regularly change their wallpapers or ringtones and do not mind seeing ads. It is a practical choice for people who want a free starting point for phone personalization.

Users who prefer an ad-free experience or who do not want to be offered optional purchases may want to look at other personalization options.
