What is imo video calls and chat pro?
imo video calls and chat pro is a social app for Android from the developer Baby Penguin. It is built around video calls, voice calls, and text chat with other people who have the app installed.
It is listed in the Social category on Google Play and has been installed by more than 14,844 people. Its current version is 9.8.000000011438, and the listing was last updated on 2024-09-11.
How does imo video calls and chat pro work?
Users sign up inside the app and then reach contacts who also use it. Once connected, people can start a video call, a voice call, or a text conversation from the same place.
Because calls and messages depend on an internet connection, the app is not useful offline. Call quality will generally track the strength of your network.
What's new in version 9.8.000000011438?
The latest update focuses on stability. It fixes a crash that could occur when Bluetooth was in use, which should make the app more reliable for people who pair headsets or other Bluetooth audio devices.
The release notes describe no other changes, so anyone expecting new features should not expect them from this version.
Requirements, size, and cost
imo video calls and chat pro requires Android 5.0 or later. Check the Google Play page on your device for the current download size, since it can change between versions.
The app is listed at $4.99 on Google Play and offers in-app purchases. It also contains ads. Google Play lists the price shown there, so confirm the current figure before installing.
Pros and cons
Pros: it combines video calls, voice calls, and chat in one app, the latest update targets a specific Bluetooth crash, and it supports a wide range of older Android versions.
Cons: the Google Play rating is 2.4 out of 5 from 97 ratings, which is low. The app includes ads and in-app purchases, and it charges an upfront price. It also needs a working internet connection for every call and message.
Who is imo video calls and chat pro for?
The app suits people who already have contacts using it and want video or voice calls in one place. It is less suited to users who need a highly rated app, want an ad-free experience, or prefer to avoid paying for both the app and optional purchases.
Before installing, compare its rating and features with other video calling apps so you can judge whether it fits your needs.
